Françoise Birnholz

Françoise Birnholz is a problem-solving business lawyer with a wealth of international experience. Françoise has held senior positions in major global financial institutions, from General Counsel to COO, and has been involved in implementing and interpreting global cross-border regulations, as well as
digital and FinTech issues.

With her extensive background, Françoise is also an experienced Business Angel with a keen interest in early-stage companies, particularly in the Tech sector. Her focus is on FinTech, Leg- and RegTech, Blockchain infrastructure, and FoodTech, and she has served for several years as a board member on a business angels’ platform on which Harvard Business School had a case.

Françoise is a trained international and multi-lingual attorney, qualified in both civil and common law. She is admitted to the New York bar and titulaire du brevet d’avocat (Geneva). Having worked in the US and Switzerland, she has had responsibilities for the APAC and EMEA regions.

Françoise is also an active member of the startup community. She acts as a judge for startups at SICTIC and MASSCHALLENGE and is a member of EBAN, leading startup organizations. Additionally, she is a mentor, advisor, board member, and consultant, bringing her expertise to the forefront of the startup ecosystem. She likes to be called Fixer-in-Chief.
