Khalid AlTawil

Dr. Khalid Al-Tawil was the Director General for the National Information Center of Saudi Arabia for over 8 years. In this distinguished role, he lead mission critical information technology initiatives which enable, protect, and touch all Citizens/Non-Citizens within the Kingdom. Dr. Al-Tawil was the Chairman of Computer Engineering Department, and Dean of College of Computer Sciences and Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia.

He is a super angel investor and member of several angel networks like Dubai Angel Investors (DAI), Cairo Angels, Alexandria Angels, Riyadh Angel Investors and others. He is an active investor and board member of several start ups in India, Dubai, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. He had invested in more than 50 star ups with 8 exits including: ImpactGuru Rooter, and Klub in India, BrandRipplr, GetBee, and QiDZ in Dubai; GBarena, Kashat , and VOO in Egypt. Spades, Glamera, Labayh, and Kleen in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Khalid Al-Tawil holds an Executive MBA from Edinburgh University, and a PhD degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, United States of America. He is a member of IEEE and ACM.

He has completed several Leadership, Investment, Entrepreneurship, and Management programs from MIT, Stanford, Oxford, IMD, and INSEAD. He was the founder, vice chairman of board, and head of executive committee for Al Elm company and board member of Trustees for Prince Sultan University as as well as other national and international Companies. He is co founder and partner in CheekyMonkeys Dubai and Partner and Board member of LEORON. He is an active investor in public and private equity,
bonds and fixed income, and private banking products.
