Simona Agolini is an entrepreneur and former corporate executive with a passion for driving innovation and growth. She is currently the CEO and co-founder of QIDZ, a startup operating in the GCC that connects families with kid-friendly activities and events.
Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey, Simona spent over 20 years in leadership positions at Shell, one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. As part of the leadership team, she led multibillion-dollar projects across the world, developing expertise in project management, business strategy, and operational excellence and completed many Mergers and Acquisitions across Middle East, Asia, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Throughout her career, Simona has been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, particularly for women. She is a mentor to many aspiring female entrepreneurs and is committed to supporting and empowering women in the workplace.
Driven by her passion and her desire to create positive change in the world, Simona left Shell to become an entrepreneur. She co-founded QIDZ, a startup that leverages technology to simplify the lives of families in the GCC by providing a one-stop-shop for kid-friendly activities and events. Under her leadership, QIDZ has become a leading player in the GCC’s growing family entertainment market, with a strong reputation for innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Simona is an angel investor in a couple of female lead tech startups and is also an LP in a Venture fund that invests with a gender lens.
